Fly Fishing and Bird Hunting at Battenkill Lodge.

The Battenkill Lodge was opened to special guests in 1995. Situated on the banks of the legendary Battenkill River it houses four private suites, all with full amenities. The grace and charm of the surroundings mirror the ambiance of the old English countryside. The Lodge provides excellent trout fishing, with miles of private water, separate beats and paths, all in a most pastoral environment. Our guests will experience unhurried tranquility in a peaceful wildlife setting.

 Bird watching and quiet walks along our trails will distract even the most fanatical trout fisherman. However, as you move down the Sheep Meadow you will surely be tempted to cast your fly. For afternoon pleasure our Naco Pond will provide ample opportunity to fish for three and four pound Browns. As Battenkill Lodge practices Catch and Release fishing, these fish become larger and wiser with each passing season.
